Custom Plate Glass
We understand that plate (flat) glass is a critical component in many high-performance systems - whether for sight windows, sight glasses, instrumentation, or specialty assemblies. Backed by our fabrication expertise, we offer everything from cutting and grinding to polishing, drilling, coatings, and edge finishing. Whether your order is single pieces or volume runs, you’ll receive parts ready for installation.
Plate Glass Materials
Soda-Lime Glass (Annealed or Tempered)
Soda-lime is the most common glass type, valued for its versatility and cost-effectiveness. It is widely used in architectural glazing, protective panels, and general-purpose applications. When tempered, it gains additional strength and safety performance, making it ideal where impact resistance is required.
- Stock Thickness Range: 1/8″ up to ¾″+
- Advantages: Inexpensive, adaptable, readily available.
Borosilicate Glass 3.3 (Annealed or Heat Strengthened)
Borosilicate is the backbone of scientific and industrial glassware, recognized for its excellent chemical durability, thermal shock resistance, and mechanical stability. More optically clear than soda-lime, borosilicate maintains performance in demanding environments such as laboratories, process systems, and high-temperature assemblies.
- Stock Thickness Range: 0.7 mm up to 1-½″+
- Advantages: Resistant to rapid temperature changes, superior clarity, highly durable.
Fused Quartz (GE124)
Fused quartz is engineered for the most extreme applications. Cut directly from boules, it withstands extremely high heat and exhibits outstanding thermal shock resistance. Its superior UV transmission and chemical resistance make it essential in optics, semiconductor manufacturing, and high-purity chemical processes.Quality, Consistency & Support
Every order at Pegasus Glass is built to your exact specifications and verified by our quality team for precision and consistency. For regulated or critical applications, we provide full traceability and documentation. Our technical sales experts work directly with you - reviewing drawings, refining tolerances, and recommending the optimal processing methods to ensure your project’s success.
