QUICKFIT® Davies Double Surface Condensers with Ground Joints

QUICKFIT® Davies double surface condensers are highly efficient laboratory condensers designed for distillation, reflux, and Soxhlet extraction applications—particularly where low-boiling-point substances are involved. Constructed from three concentric glass tubes, coolant circulates through both the outer jacket and the central tube, significantly increasing the available cooling surface.

The inner cooling surface creates a baffle effect for enhanced condensation efficiency, while the outer cooling surface minimizes liquid “creep,” ensuring controlled and effective condensation. This design allows the condenser to be shorter than an equivalent Liebig condenser while delivering superior performance.

Manufactured from 3.3 expansion borosilicate glass in compliance with ISO 3585 (ASTM E-438 Type I, Class A), these condensers offer excellent thermal and chemical resistance. Units are supplied with detachable plastic screw-thread connectors that safely accommodate 9 mm bore flexible tubing for easy coolant connection.

Note: The CX5/25/SC model features a plain tube top rather than a socket joint.
