Pegasus Glass Shipping FAQ

This article answers our most commonly asked shipping questions - including order processing times, duties and taxes, international delivery, custom pickups, insurance, and more.

Do I have to pay duties, tariffs, or taxes?

No. For all North American deliveries, Pegasus Glass covers all duties, tariffs, and cross-border fees - even on custom orders. 
You will not be charged upon delivery or after. This is part of our 
No-Tariff Delivery Promise!

How long does it take to process and ship my order?

Orders for standard, in stock items are typically processed within 1-3 business days of order confirmation. 
Once processed, items will be shipped using your requested shipping method. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order is dispatched.
Note: Delivery times may vary depending on carrier and destination.

Can I use my own carrier or shipping account?

Yes. You're welcome to arrange pickup using your own freight provider. 
  • We'll supply weights, dimensions, and scheduling support.
  • Once picked up, you assume all risk and responsibility for the shipment, including insurance and damage claims.

What if I enter the wrong (or inaccurate) shipping information?

While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy and completeness of each shipment, it is the responsibility of the Buyer to provide all relevant and accurate shipping information. The provision of incomplete or incorrect information may result in delivery delays, re-routing, or failed delivery attempts. In such cases, any additional costs incurred, including chargebacks and re-delivery fees, are solely your responsibility as the Buyer. 
Please double check addresses, contact names, delivery instructions before placing an order.

What are your delivery terms and incoterms?

For North American shipments, our default shipping term is FOB Destination.
This means:

  • Pegasus Glass retains ownership and risk until the goods are delivered to your location.

  • Pegasus Glass pays for shipping and assumes responsibility for damage in transit.

  • You are not liable for any losses until the shipment is in your hands.

If you use your own carrier or shipping account, the terms shift to FOB Collect:

  • Ownership and risk transfer to you once the goods are released to your carrier.

  • You pay for shipping directly and are responsible for any issues during transit.

Detention, storage fees, customs-related delays, who is responsible?

If Pegasus Glass arranges shipping:

  • You will not be responsible for any customs clearance delays, vessel detentions, or government-imposed restrictions.

  • Pegasus Glass assumes the risk and covers any fees tied to regulatory delay.

If you use your own carrier:

  • You assume full responsibility for any delays, storage fees, or government-imposed restrictions that occur after the goods have left our facility.

  • You as the Buyer are also responsible for maintaining adequate insurance coverage for the shipment.

Is my shipment insured? What are my options?

Unless otherwise requested, shipments are covered by the standard carrier liability, which may be limited based on weight or class.

If you would like additional insurance coverage:

  • You must request it in writing at the time the order is placed.

  • We will confirm the coverage and provide a quote for the added insurance cost.

  • Any additional premiums will be charged to you directly.

Pegasus Glass is not liable for losses or damages that exceed the carrier’s standard liability unless additional coverage has been arranged in advance.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Pegasus Glass guarantees that your order will arrive in good condition.

In the event that your shipment arrives damaged:

  1. Please notify us immediately and provide photos of the damage and the packaging.

  2. Include any carrier documentation or delivery notes.

  3. We’ll conduct an internal investigation and verify the claim.

  4. Upon confirmation, we will issue a replacement for the damaged product(s) at no cost.

To qualify for replacement:

  • All claims must be submitted promptly (ideally within 3 business days).

  • Supporting documentation is required.

Does Pegasus Glass offer international shipping?

Yes, Pegasus Glass ships worldwide. For international customers:

  • VAT, import taxes, and duties are not included in the product or freight pricing unless specified in your quote.

  • These fees are solely your responsibility as the Buyer.

  • We are happy to quote door-to-door delivery with duties included upon request.

If you choose to use your own freight forwarder:

  • We will provide complete documentation, including:

    • CERS export filings.

    • Commercial invoices.

    • Packing lists.

    • Any additional forms required by your country for compliance.
